Job Description: Prepares and reviews complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporate entities; Reviews clients' income tax, payroll withholding related data and estate/gift taxes to ensure tax liability and reporting compliance; Identifies and recommends tax strategies by analyzing clients' financial statements and researching taxation issues; Assists clients with tax queries and audit information requests from U.S. regulatory authorities; Calculates book to tax Schedule M-1's and reviews current year tax depreciation records; Creates tax strategies to reduce the amount of taxes a client owes while remaining compliant with generally accepted accounting principles and the tax law; Interprets and understands tax law, and explains its implications and tax consequences to clients.
