Brian Meck has been my cpa for over 6 years. He and his team have been my bookkeeper for my small business for many years, they prepare my personal and business tax returns, and are all around considerate individuals. 10/10 would recommend!

I am extremely disappointed in the customer service at this office. The professionals chose to downsize their office and therefore sent a letter saying they would no longer be available to handle my tax preparation. That's fine. But then they refused to make any effort to provde me my electronic data to help transition to the next accountant. They said they didn't provide such and suggested that even if they were able to get their IT person to provide MY data to me, this would result in a charge- to me.

When I emailed back explaining that I had paid, as part of the fees charged to me, for the entry of such data, I got crickets back. No reply. I'm not commenting on the capabilities of the professsionals at this office. I am commenting on what I consider to be a complete and utter failure at basic customer service to someone who paid their bills without complaint.

It was my first time doing taxes on my own and it was a complicated financial year for me. Brian took his time to explain everything to me and worked hard and efficiently to navigate all the variables to get my taxes done. He is confident and caring and answered all my questions. I'm thankful for his expertise. Highly recommend!

I am self-employed have used Meck Noonan for four years now. They are professional, warm, and very organized, and their rates are very reasonable. I enjoy working with them much more than my previous accountant, who was charging me three times as much for the same job. I am glad to find someone I trust.

I absolutely would avoid this company at all costs! My husband had decided to use Brian to do his company and his partners taxes last year and because Brian could not get the work for the business taxes done in time he said that an extension would need to be filed for our personal taxes. We had established that we were going to be paying him to do our business and personal taxes, therefore, he should have been responsible for doing the work, but he now states that I should have filed the extension.

The extension, which he needed, because he did not finish the work in time to file on time, was NOT filed and therefore we were fined $1500.00 in fees for late filing and Brian blamed me and told me it was my fault. We had to end up switching to a new CPA midway through the year because he was not returning any phone calls, the work was not getting done and all we kept getting were lame excuses. The lack of professionalism, communication and customer service is horrific and will cost you thousands of dollars. I WOULD ABSOLUTLEY NOT USE THIS FIRM!

Thank you Brian and Kathryn for all of your hard work this past tax season! They did an amazing job for my husband and me. Our taxes were pretty complicated this past year but they walked us through every step of the way with ease. I highly recommend this firm for your accounting needs.

Larry Meck has been our personal and business accountant for 8 years. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain all of our tax implications. I would highly recommend his services!

I use Larry and his team for 2 business as well as my personal taxes. Larry is phenomenal about breaking things down to my level. He has my full confidence. Would also like to say thank you to Kathryn. Not exactly sure what her job title is, but I'm pretty sure she's the one that keeps the office running smoothly. Also extremely friendly! I had to file a extension to get taxes done. I was called to say my taxes were done and went in to get them and the receptionist requested payment and then said goodbye. I asked her why no-one was going to go over the return with me and she said that usually doesn't happen. I asked if I owed money or was getting a return and she said a return of $8.57 so I requested a CPA to go over my taxes so someone came out and told me I owed over $8000.

I was shock. After the full review I sent in payment to IRS and they sent me a FINE for interest for late payment that wasn't received by April 15. Meck Noonan never said I would have to pay a fine for a extension on my return when money was owed. I found this place to be unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. I would never suggest going here to anyone. Ive been to several accountants in the past but never one so arrogantly care free and distant from its clients.

It had been a rough year and I was trying to find a way to reduce my expenses. With all the computer software available and the simplicity of our return, I felt confident I could do my taxes myself. But not that confident. So I used the software program to do my taxes and I had Mr Meck do my taxes as well. If I did as well has him, I would start doing my taxes myself.

When his version of my tax return arrived I was surprised to see that he had saved me not only the amount of his fee but much more. I am out of the tax preparation business. R Lawrence Meck & Co. you have a client for life!

I have used Lawrence Meck for 22 yrs, since moving to Austin in 1990. When I married 6 yrs ago, my husband, who has always done his own taxes, also soon came to appreciate the talent and professionalism of Mr. Meck and his colleagues. Over the years, he has shown us deductions we were not aware we could take and definitely saved us money. When I was reading the other reviews, I could not believe the one bad one!

I strongly suspect someone was probably trying to fudge legally for Mr Meck to have "fired" them. He is up to date on all the latest tax rules and everyone in his office has always been so courteous and friendly. He strikes us as nothing but a man of integrity, and I feel confident each year submitting our taxes, knowing an expert is behind us! His fees are reasonable and well deserved. Just today, I received an email from his office, the subject being preparation for 2012 taxes, which is why I am doing this review in July! - Vicki J.

Mr. Meck did my taxes for several years and each and every year my bill went up by at least $50 even though my taxes didn't get any more complicated! In addition, he "fired" a friend of mine as a client because his self-employment taxes got too complicated for him. He will make you do most of the prep work yourself - leaving him to simply fill in the forms and print them out, then charge you for it. Might as well do it yourself.

We saved quite a bit of money by switching to this Firm in our tax preparation. We were very happy with the timely service and quality of work.

Wow! Larry Meck knows his stuff. Taxes were complicated this year, but Mr. Meck made it super easy. Fees were reasonable, but I think he gave me a good deal because I was organized and didn't waste his time. I was simply delighted because he figured in depreciation without my even asking, did the "make work pay" credits, did the sales tax credits, worked out credits from closing, and just made everything tick and tie with all the right schedules etc.

He got me the maximum refund and provided a professional copy for my records (bound and everything). It took only 20 minutes of my own time and he had my return ready the next day. It was so worth it. If I could give these guys six stars I would.
