Gilan has over 33 years of valued experience in the areas of taxation, accounting, and business consulting. For two decades, she has been a skilled business advisor. She has a keen understanding of tax and financial concepts and uses these skills to advise high net worth clients and closely held business owners in various financial planning and tax matters.
We can help you with every aspect of your tax preparation and planning, including individual partnership and corporate returns. In the event of a tax audit, we are authorized to appear on your behalf before the Internal Revenue Service and State and we have successfully represented many taxpayers before the IRS and other taxing authorities. We also offer a complete range of accounting, management, business and computer consulting services.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) just released standard mileage rates that taxpayers must use when filing 2022 income taxes in 2023 if they are claiming a mileage deduction for a vehicle they own or lease. These rates set IRS allowances for the deductible part of the cost of driving for business and for charitable, medical, and moving purposes.
When you pay taxes, you have the option of taking the standard deduction or itemizing your deductions. If you itemize, you calculate your deductions one by one. Itemizing is more of a hassle, but it's worth it if your itemized deductions exceed the amount of the standard deduction. Keep in mind that every situation is different as far as whether you should take the standard deduction or whether you should itemize.
