Owner Gerald C. Reiss, CPA, CMA opened his firm more than 10 years ago after several years in both the private and public accounting sectors. A graduate of Pace University, Jerry knew that he would have his own practice one day. I always wanted to open an accounting firm where I could help people manage their financial obligations.
Gerald C. Reiss, CPA offers a complete range of accounting and auditing services including receivables, payables and payroll management. We provide several types of financial statement services including compilations and reviews for use by banks, investors and other third parties. We also prepare custom financial reports for internal and managerial use.
Thank you very much for the excellent work you did preparing our income tax. This is the first time we used an accountant to prepare our return and we were very pleased. The time you took reviewing our paperwork and discussing honestly all of our deductions was greatly appreciated. Andrew his so is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in my life! I called the office to find out what was going on with my taxes and Andrew, after I staed that u thought it was to long told me that if I didn't like the service that I could look elsewhere in the future. So I did, right then. When I picked up.my taxes a half hour later Andrew proceeded to tell me they emailed me that I needed additional information for my return.
I looked down and saw a name I didn't recognize and when I looked further I realized that they contract their work out to other Accounting firms! Then I said WHY WOULD I BE LOOKING FOR AN EMAIL FROM AMERICAN ACCOUNTING WHEN I HIRED GERALD REISS TO DO MY TAXES? Andrew's answer was there's going to be a change of $100.00! Why in the world would I pay Gerald Reiss any money?
He have my personal information to a stranger and didn't even touch my return. Andrew is rude and unprofessional you can go anywhere to have your taxes done, especially since Gerald Reiss is not doing them. Oh. and then they said he looks them over first. WHO BELIEVES THAT? NOT ME

I have had the pleasure of working with Andrew now since 2014 for my personal financials, tax returns, and the start up of my new pool management llc.
