First Baptist Church Opelika is a wonderful church with a dynamic and amazing pastor. This church is all about God's word as given in the scriptures. I strongly recommend this church for any individual or family seeking a closer relationship with God. By the way, the children's ministry, college ministry, Korean ministry, and all other special ministries are all fantastic!

The pastor (Jeff Meyers) has a genuine heart for God and is a student of the bible. He is a critical thinker who preaches on whole passages, within its context, in order to accurately convey God's message. I've never come across a minister who appears to have a more thorough knowledge of the bible than does Jeff. His "Ask Jeff" sessions are quite amazing to experience.
