I came to Ellsworth and Stout in 2015 needing guidance. I am a dentist. They have saved me tons of money in taxes and have taken the headache out of April by doing most of the work themselves. In addition, they have helped me setup a number of other items for my business. Whenever I have a question or need something addressed they are always there for me. I would give zero stars if possible. They've been my CPAs for almost 2 years. They have failed to file my quarterly payroll on time (and cost me fees) and also screwed up my personal tax return with the IRS (penalty and then a refund). They are extremely not responsive to any of these issues. Not helpful with any questions. Update: Within a day of this review, I did have someone from E&S reach out to me to discuss what went wrong, where the communication broke down, and how to make my future experience better. So while I still can't recommend them, I do appreciate that they reached out and are willing to make amends to move forward.

Extremely unprofessional, It's been a long time since I've felt dehumanized by being laughed at by a staff member as I was continually talked over, I wouldn't recommend these individuals as this person had to place me on hold and kept talking about how it was a busy day for her and couldn't care less about my situation. It's disappointing when you call a place asking for help and the staff is so devoid of people skills that they say "i have to get back to work". Honestly, thats why I called you, you didn't do anything except tell me everyone is busy and take down my phone number.

Just like my previous attempt at contact, my best guess is this was an unpleasent experience with an individual whom answered the phone whom first name, I am going to do my best to be helpful started with the letter "T". The way she wasn't able to pay any attention to what i was saying and her continual complaints about being what I believe to be overworked. (Honestly, this was an eight minute total phone call in which I was placed on hold and told nobody could help me) I would say this person is best suited for a role not involving interactions with customers as she doesn't have the basic human empathy skills required for the task.

Working with Dain and his team has been a great experience. Everyone is extremely nice and knowledgeable. I highly recommend doing business with them.

I sent them a message yesterday, and already had an appointment scheduled for this morning. They are quick! We were able to consult over the phone so my husband and I didn't have to miss work while going into an office. They are reasonably priced, and we are pleased with the service. We spoke with Daine, who was very informative and helpful. He educated us much more than he had to, and it was very much appreciated. I highly recommend these guys.

I was in a bind. I hadn't filed taxes in 3 years, due to a divorce and other financial situations. Dain Ellsworth rolled up his sleeves and got all 3 years done in NO TIME, at a VERY REASONABLE fee, and with the UTMOST of professionalism. I can't say enough about the EMOTIONAL relief Mr. Ellsworth provided as I was SURE I would be in a very bad place. Instead, with his access he was able to provide information I have been trying to obtain for MONTHS, which got my taxes done and on their way in less than a week.
