Davis has worked in public accounting since 1982 and worked for several large & regional firms. He worked from 1984 - 1994 as the Accounting Supervisor for Portland Public Schools. Davis started the firm in 1992 in his garage at home and later moved to our current location and brought his own clientele and joined it with the practice of a retiring CPA.

Davis completed our taxes very promptly even though we were delinquent in providing him our information. Davis is extremely knowledgeable about tax planning. Being a financial professional for 20 years myself, I had always done my own taxes and now wish I had hired him years ago. He is highly competent and stands out amongst other tax preparers and CPA's which provide services to my clients.
I often find errors or missed opportunities in my client's taxes and tax planning from other tax professionals. Every year clients make mistakes of omission or poor planning and by the time I discover it, it is often too late to correct. I recommend working with a skilled CPA and Davis R Stanger certainly is that. He provided the returns for a school board for which I was the treasurer for a couple years with excellence as well.
