We were founded in 1924 by Paul R. Smoak. After World War II, Francis C. Nixon joined the Firm and the practice became known as Smoak, Davis & Nixon. Our current partners have maintained the names of our Founders, and in 1996, the Firm registered as a limited liability partnership. Today, we are known as Smoak, Davis & Nixon LLP.
