Most unprofessional firm I have ever dealt with in my 31 years of business. Padded the bill and all the work had to be redone by another firm. Be ware of this firm. One item charged me 4 hrs for something I can do in less then 30 min, that's when I had to review

Taxes are done promptly, vouchers are sent out well in advance of their quarterly due date. He ia always on top of things for my company and my personal income taxes and filings. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I did my personal tax with them, I chose CJBS because my situation was a bit more complicated and they claimed to be the experts and promised to help me. The communication was slow, the price unreasonably high and the tax advisor had clearly poor understanding of the tax system so I had to hire a second tax advisor to correct and finalize my tax return. Save your nerves, time and money and look elsewhere.

Horrible follow through and customer service and extremely expensive for services supposedly provided. They were recommended to me by a consulting firm and I started to work with them as I started up my dental practice from scratch. As months went on I paid as much as I could per month, but I was being charged up to $1500 per month and only had one other employee other than myself.

Over a two year period, billed services exceeded $30,000 and this was to include personal and business returns, financial statements quarterly for the practice, and for about a year, compliance and servicing of my office 401k. I wasn't given detailed invoices nor were they interested in my when I started to ask. In fact, Michael Blitstein became angry that I was questioning their services.

I finally paid them off at the end of 2016 and thought I was done. Until now. I recently received a letter from the IRS that a critical form was not filed for 2015 and now I am paying a delinquent filing fee as well as about $2000 to another firm to file for 2015. My new firm had tried calling Michael for 2 weeks with multiple tries to see if form 5500 was filed or not and he nor his staff does not return calls I finally heard from him today via email and he is adamant that I terminated services so he is not liable for the filing of the form in 2015. Do not use this firm! They will rip you off and don't have a care in the world about customer service. In it for the money.

I was referred to CJBS from my financial advisor. I understand that CJBS focuses on businesses however I was told that they also do personal tax returns as well. I spoke with a representative on the phone about my taxes and asked the cost. He said "CJBS is not the cheapest". I inquired further and asked specifically what that means. He went over rates for himself and his other team members. CPA's bills at over $200 an hour.

Again I said "that isn't a price tag I would be comfortable with for a personal tax return". The representative reassured me that the average is $300 and that if it went over that he would let me know before they began preparing the return. After sending over all my pertinent information and getting my return back, I received a bill for $495 written on one line simply saying personal tax return preparation.

I inquired about the charge, and received a very "matter a fact". First. Second. email reply. Not professional by any stretch of the imagination. Essentially the reply was that they deliver better than average product. I cannot deny that the return paperwork was prepared professionally, however it should be when one is having their taxes prepared.

I see nothing special about the way my return was prepared compared to H&R Block. No extra communication, counseling or added value service. Since I was upset CJBS discounted $100 from my bill, which I thanked them for. Even still, I would not recommend them for personal tax preparation.

CJBS has been my accounting firm for more than 20 years and they have consistently provided me and my businesses with sound financial and tax planning advice. Though Ted Joseph is my guy, I've also worked with other members of the management team, including Jeff Stuart, Michael Blitstein, Matt Bergman and Larry Goldsmith. I always get solid advice. Great firm.
